I'm Ruth and it's nice to meet you! I'm an active member of the International Coaching Federation of Professional Coaches (ICF). I've been a coach since September 2020. I am a graduate of the Federal Internal Coach Training Program, an ICF-accredited program, aligned with ICF standards, and I am committed to abiding by the ICF Code of Ethics.
I served in the U.S. Army as a combat support military police officer. I graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor's of Science from the School of Public Health. I joined the Civil Service at the Department of Health and Human Services where I am currently still serving. I am involved in several military veteran organizations including the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) and the Disabled American Veterans (DAV). I am also involved in the Not One More Veterinarian (NOMV) organization.
My goal is to partner with clients to pursue their individual life goals. I offer no advice. I offer no guidance. I am not an advisor, guidance counselor, mentor or therapist. I am a coach and that means that I CHALLENGE my clients to break free of their limitations. I help my clients CREATE the future they want by being forward-thinking. And I listen carefully with CURIOSITY to that which is unspoken. Clients have the solutions they are looking for inside of them. A coach partners with them to discover those solutions.
Coaching is a collaborative, goal-focused process where a coach helps a client identify their goals, overcome obstacles, and develop strategies to achieve personal growth.
